Anise Oil, as you may already know, is often referred to as "the angler's secret weapon" because it "attracts fish like mad".  The idea is to keep a bar of Angler's Ace (or Anise) Soap in your boat or your tackle box and use it to wash up periodically on your fishing day.  Some say the best way is to swipe your hook across the soap bar before you cast off or cast out or do what you do to get the hook into the water.  Others say there is no need to go to such extremes because just having the scent of anise on your hands is nearly enough to drive the fish to delivering themselves up into your boat of their own accord!  Now this all sounds a bit fishy to me, but it may explain why the use of Anise Soap is not widely discussed in fishing circles...it's a bit of a secret weapon, an "Angler's Ace" if you will.  I hope you enjoy this soap, and I hope you will be out on the water telling fish tales very soon.
